As you can see, we are big Longhorns fans! (Go Longhorns!) Believe it or not, my husband dressed up our little guy and snapped this shot. It was one of many, I might add! (You know how tough it is to take good pictures of babies, especially baby boys!)
It did help that he was wearing daddy's cowboy hat--boy was he tickled to be a cowboy like daddy! Just look at that big grin!

Here are some pictures I took on a day we went for a nature walk in the park. I let my daughter explore and discover as she wished. She delighted in everything and loved crunching the leaves, wondered at the colors, textures and sizes, and smiled at the beauty she saw in everything.
On the day we celebrated my daughter turning 6, we were blessed with a short sun shower followed by a rainbow! We have always looked at rainbows as a good sign, so we were thrilled to see this beautiful rainbow show up for our daughter's birthday! It was a bit faint and I wasn't able to get a great shot of it, but at least you can see that a rainbow really was there!
What do you think of as a good sign, even if just for fun?
My two youngest daughters--they can't live with each other and can't live without each other! Ha! That's the way it goes, isn't it?
I know I've been a stranger to blogging these past few weeks, and that is mainly due to a lot of extra stress from a lot of extra places. I miss my blogging mama friends though, and I've been taking lots of pictures of my kids, flowers, birds and nature and hope to share them with you when I get the chance!
My oldest daughter with the family dog--a beautiful border collie we named "Magic." She's great with animals--maybe one day she will become a vet!
I've been going trigger crazy with the beautiful sunsets we've been having--the lighting has been great and the kids look so nice and fresh in the cool autumn weather.
Kid number 4 (age 9) helping kid number 6 (age nearly 3) put her socks and shoes on at the park! A priceless, wordless moment!
Sooooooooo what happens when you have 2 older sisters obsessed with all things pink and dolly? Baby brother has to join in, too! (Doesn't he look thrilled? Ha!)
So cute how kids copy us--I was taking pictures, so little sister Mandy gets her "camera" and goes around taking "pictures" of everyone!
It's beautiful to see what love and joy little baby siblings bring out in their older brothers and sisters!
My daughter, 12, went for a walk with her sisters and made this beautiful bouquet from the flowers they picked along the way! There is beauty everywhere, we just have to learn how to see and appreciate it!
