Online Educational Quizzes! My new craze!!!!

Every now and then in a mother's life you get to the point where you throw your hands up and say, "That's it! I've had enough! This is not working and we need to find something that DOES!" This happened to me recently with the older kids' school, particularly in the subjects of science and social studies. Everything was dry, dry, dry, BORING! So I started doing online quizzes with the kids--a fun way to not only reinforce things they already know, but also to learn new things in a clear, concise way. Here I'll put down some of the sites we've been using and I highly recommend that you try it out! Even if you are not homeschooling, the fun review and reinforcement is great!

This site has lots of quizzes, and not only educational, so some monitoring might be necessary if you only want your kids to stick to educational quizzes. Has a lot of great quizzes for older grades and high school.

This is a fantastic geography quiz site, with map puzzles for every continent and many countries of the world, as well as other unique features such as world monuments, capitals, etc.!

Very good online test site--mostly for younger grades, but has some for older grades as well. Also has free worksheet generators.
