Hi! Here’s a little about me: My name is Angelina Johnson. I am a mother of eight beautiful children and a wife of a caring husband, wonderful father, and one of the most creative, daring and inspirational people I know . No, I'm not married to three people! My husband, Jonathan Johnson (Check out his website: http://www.rainbowsafterrain.com) happens to be all three of those people rolled miraculously into one.
In my life I've experienced amazing things, been to over 20 countries--among them, many exotic lands, and have had incredible adventures that many people, myself included, find unbelievable. For the past 14 years, I have home schooled all of my children with the help of family and friends. There are no two days alike--sometimes I love it and feel I am the happiest mother in the world--other days I find myself wondering, "Where the hell did all these kids come from? Somebody call their parents!" (Not serious--well, maybe a little serious! Ha!) Poetry and music have been a part of me ever since I was a little girl. I wrote my first poem when I was eight, and my first song followed soon after. Aside from being a full-time mom, I also enjoy creating--singing, writing, composing, digital creations, and a whole lot of brave attempts at a whole lot of other things! I hope to put up some of my creations here--a little at a time--who knows, maybe they'll make someone smile! I love natural beauty, no matter how big, small, common or uncommon.-- The fluttering of a bird’s wings as it balances on a branch, the delicate detail of a tiny shell, a majestic mountain peak piercing through the clouds, the diamonds of dewdrops sprinkled across tiny leaves on a sunlit morning, the wind gently touching the tips of leaves, the way my baby girl pushes the hair out of her face with her chubby fingers, when one of my children comes up to me, hugs me tight and says, “I love you, Mom!” There is so much beauty everywhere, so much joy all around us, so much love in the world--we just need to look for it and reach out and embrace it, and then pass it on so that others can be blessed as well! A sense of humor is an important part of my life--laughing and enjoying the world and people around me! At the end (or sometimes the beginning, middle, or just anytime for that matter!) of a long day, relaxing with a good comedy and beer is just "...one of my favorite things!" Jokes, hilarious stories, funny pictures, anything that makes me crack up laughing is a MUST in my life to not only maintain sanity (even if just barely!) but also to thrive and be happy no matter what! Being a happy mom is being a good mom! And I want to share these moments with you! Mark Twain once said, "The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up!" I believe in this philosophy and have had the privilege of growing up with parents who understood this and made it part of their life's career to better the lives of others, in big and small ways. Because of this, I have spent a large portion of my life reaching out, involving myself in charity work, volunteer programs, working with rehab centers, prisons, orphanages, hospitals, performing benefit concerts, cultural exchange and cooperation programs, and so much more I can't even begin to remember it all! While many have said I have given so much, I feel that I have been blessed more than words can say, and it is so true that the more I give, the more I get. With this website and my blog I hope to have fun with other moms and teachers and anyone else who wants to come along! I hope that we can pool our resources and experiences and together show the world how great it is to be a mom (and teacher!) and have a ball of a time ruling the world as we rock those cradles!
